Asian American Gothic

Anti-Asian Violence PSA

In partnership with Portland, OR based production company Only Today, we launched a campaign to address the rise and ongoing anti-asian violence in America. This is the campaign teaser. In 2023 it was refreshed to coincide with AAPI Heritage Month in partnership with Barrett/Hofher and Meta Prosper.

Toyota

The Toyota Prius and California go together like guac on a super burrito.

NorCal Toyota asked us to create a campaign that recaptures the Prius as a quirky Californian icon. We embraced the stereotypes of Californians and reminded our audience that Prius is one of us.

Yo-Yo's & Half-Squares (Exhibit)

How do you make an exhibit about quilts interesting? By alluding to the parallels between quilting and jazz. Oh! And don't call them blankets...

Altered State: Marijuana in California (Exhibit)

OMCA wanted to inform the public on the many sides of marijuana before the voting for the legalization happens in November. Nothing much else to say about this one other than Afroman made us pay him through Walmart.

Hostelling International USA (HI-USA)

HI-USA wanted to promote hostelling in America and position themselves as a place where different cultures and backgrounds can get together and share experiences. In this print campaign, we thought we'd get famous state icons together for a flag party.

California Redwood Association

The California Redwood Association came to us with one task; to get people to buy more redwood for their decking. Redwood is stronger, more durable, and more environmentally friendly than plastic composite. It's as simple as that. So we decided to be direct and use a no-nonsense manly man we affectionately named, "Drunk Guy" to spread the message.

I'm With Lincoln

In my first week of college, my instructor showed us "Sheet Metal" (written by Jamie Barrett and directed by Noam Murro) as an example of great advertising. I would have never guessed that years later, my very first official Art Director credit would be under the same brilliant minds.
